Honored Recipient of the Charlottesville 4 Under 40 Award

I was recently honored among 3 other incredible women as one of Charlottesville’s 4 Women Under 40 Award Winners. I could not have been more flattered to be amongst such good company and I truly look forward to getting to know each of the other 3 women even better! The Inaugural 4 Under 40 Award winners were Liza Borches, Andrea Copeland, Sasha Farmer, and Audrey Storm. Strangely enough I am friends with all three of the other recipients and could not be more honored to stand amongst them!

MONTAGUE MILLER & COMPANY REALTOR SASHA FARMER RECEIVES NATIONAL HONOR- CRS DESIGNATION
Charlottesville, Va– The CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) Designation is the highest designation that can be achieved in the field of residential real estate. It is awarded based upon sales volume and field experience, combined with advanced education, knowledge, and expertise of the real estate profession. Montague, Miller & Company agent Sasha Farmer of the Downtown Charlottesville office has just received this designation. Awarded by the National Association of Realtors, fewer than 4% of real estate agents ever achieve this honor.
Experience, education, and ethics are what set recipients of the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation apart from other real estate agents. According to the CRS website, www.crs.com, “To earn the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) Designation, every REALTOR must have significant experience and demonstrate volume of real estate transactions or gross sales, as well as complete rigorous educational requirements.” CRS designees are also required to maintain their memberships in the National Association of REALTORS, which requires adherence to a strict code of ethics.
Originally from Northern Virginia, Sasha chose Charlottesville as her permanent home after falling in love with the city during her undergraduate years at the University of Virginia. Sasha specializes in representing home buyers, home sellers, corporate transferees, and University of Virginia faculty, students, and staff. Sasha prides herself on a strong commitment to the community, and spends numerous hours volunteering for organizations such as Computers4Kids, the Junior League of Charlottesville, Charlottesville/Albemarle SPCA, the United Way, and Habitat for Humanity. Sasha is also a 2009 graduate of Leadership Charlottesville, a Chamber of Commerce program designed to build an active corps of engaged and dedicated civic leaders.
Since joining Montague, Miller & Company, Sasha has been actively involved with the Realtor Advisory Council and awarded the title of Top Producer on numerous occasions. Sasha has also been honored as co-recipient of the Rookie of the Year Award given by the Charlottesville Area Association of Realtors (CAAR), and serves as Chair of their Technology Committee. On the statewide level, Sasha was also recently selected for the Virginia Leadership Academy, which chooses only 20 REALTORS from Virginia annually, to participate in a leadership development program for REALTOR leaders. Sasha C. Farmer, REALTOR® with Montague, Miller & Company REALTORS®, of their Downtown office, has just been selected for the 2010 Virginia Leadership Academy.
This program of the Virginia Association of REALTOR® selects just 20 REALTORS® from the Commonwealth each year, to participate in a year- long leadership institute designed to equip them with the expertise and leadership ability to effect change in their companies, communities and associations.
Farmer is a residential real estate consultant specializing in first time buyers, move up buyers & sellers, corporate relocations, and University of Virginia faculty, students, and staff. She holds several real estate designations; she is a GRI, ABR, SRS, e- Pro, and CRS Designee.
Farmer dedicates her time and service to several organizations and boards in town; Habitat For Humanity, the CASPCA, the Junior League of Charlottesville, UVAClubs of Charlottesville, the City of Charlottesville Housing Advisory Council, Computers4Kids, and the United Way- Thomas Jefferson Area.
Her involvement in the Chamber is also varied; she is a committee chair for the Quadruplicity women’s conference, a recent graduate of the 2009 Leadership Charlottesville Program, a Board Member on the Leadership Charlottesville Alumni Association, and is a member of the Business Women’s Roundtable.
In her local REALTOR® association, Farmer currently serves on the Technology Committee, the Strategic Planning Task Force, is a member of the CAAR Professional Honor Society, and has previously been awarded the CAAR Rookie of the Year.
